Take a relaxing cruise to capture the breathtaking beauty of the Islands of Chincoteague and Assateague. Enjoy the picturesque rising sun over the island of Assateague. Energize while watching the Island’s wildlife wake up. Catch an awesome sunset; unwind while absorbing the brilliant colors as the sun fades in the west. Perhaps schools of dolphin will be taking a playful swim, teasingly alongside of your boat. Tour the tributaries where wildlife abounds. Now that’s what I’m talking about!! You will have a ball! It will be the most justified money you will spend on your vacation.
Also available are clamming trips. Catch your own dinner – you just can’t beat a tasty "Chincoteague salt" clam! Plus the adventure and experience of clamming! Prices & departure times vary with each captain. Prices usually range from $20.00 - $35.00 per person, including children. One and 2 hour cruises available, all day. You are responsible for refreshments, insect sprays or sunscreens.
If you are the true adventurer – we also have kayak tours where you can really get up close with nature. There are two tours daily, 7Am and 6PM, from 2 – 2 ½ hours. Prices are $35.00 per person, children 12 and under $20.00 in a double with one parent, children under 8 FREE if in a double with both parents.
Regardless of which mode you choose to travel – keep a sharp eye out for the islands hidden treasures. Wildlife includes scores of species of birds, whitetail and sika deer and, of course, the world famous wild ponies of Assateague Island. Please keep in mind, we ARE dealing with nature and cannot guarantee these wonderful creatures will always do a “command performance”.
